Phytodren Review, the fat burner that is packed full of ingredients

Phytodren diet pill reviewPhytodren is weight loss supplement in capsule form. According to the manufacturers the capsules can help consumers “lose serious weight  fast!“,  but they fail to elaborate on how many pounds this is likely to be or how  many days, weeks or months of supplementation are likely to be involved.

The product is marketed via a sleek and professional-looking website that makes many promises for the product, but fails to offer much in the way of supportive evidence.

The site also utilizes some very shady and misleading sales tactics. Does it live up to expectation – read our exclusive review.

rejected diet pillClaims: To help you lose serious weight fast by burning unsightly fat

Positives: The product packaging looks striking, with regards the actual product with are struggling to find many positives

Negatives: Although the ingredient profile looks like a who’s who of the diet ingredient industry there is not enough each individual of ingredient.

What Claims are Made for Phytodren

The manufacturers claim that Phytodren is the result of many years of research and that it offers the following benefits:

  • Burn unsightly body fat.
  • Feel satisfied with less food.
  • Boost energy levels

official Phytodren websiteThe initials sales pitch is unusual and creative, but lacks any real information about how these dramatic results will be achieved. Apparently the battle of the bulge is a war between good and evil, fought—and usually lost—in the brain. The two opposing forces are “CART” and “NPY” (The Evil One).

NPY is a stress hormone that works its evil magic on the metabolism, slowing it down, and causing an increase in weight.

CART is the good guy that reduces the appetite and boosts the metabolism. The Phytodren formulation emulates the stimulation of CART, while also inhibiting NPY, to ensure the consumer’s success in the battle of the bulge.  The site provides no further information about either one of these mystical forces and the recommended dosage is just as mysterious.

[warning]Phytodren appears to be suitable for a unisex customer base. A 90 day money-back guarantee is offered, but the sales tactics employed hint that the manufacturer’s integrity may be questionable; so the value of the guarantee is debatable.[/warning]

Key Ingredients

According to the website Phytodren contains five ingredients “designed to mimic C-A-R-T Activation and NP-Y Inhibition”. Both forces have now acquired hyphens and the list that precedes this statement contains not just five, but seven ingredients:

  • Chromium
  • Irvingia Gabonensis
  • DiCaffeine Malate
  • Green Coffee Bean
  • Raspberry Ketone
  • Phenylethylamine
  • Thermodiamine

Several of the ingredients are reputed to assist weight loss, there is substantial evidence of several of the listed ingredients but only in the correct quantities. There are so may ingredients crammed into Pytrodren that it seems unlikely that this formulation will provide the hardcore weight loss promised by the manufacturers.

[warning]It is also worth noting that no inclusion rates are specified, so an evaluation of the products possible effectiveness is not possible. Nor is it possible to surmise any possible side effects.[/warning]

The manufacturers state their formulation is the result of many years of research, but the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine reveals some interesting information. The ingredients as:

  • Andrean Cocoa Extract
  • Phenylethylamine (PEA)
  • Synephrine HCl
  • Hops (Humulus Lupulus)
  • Caffeine

There are five ingredients only—corresponding to the statement on the present site—and phenylethylamine is the only ingredient that appears in lists. This does not inspire confidence in the product. Which list is supposed to correspond to the claimed years of research? More to the point do the ingredients from either list really correspond to the contents of the capsules?

Phytodren Success Stories And Testimonials

The official website shows several positive testimonials that claim to be from satisfied users of the product. Ashel lost 10 lbs. in a month, and Devon lost a staggering 66 lbs. in two years.

Phytrodren success stories and before and after picturesThe site also shows some impressive before and after pictures of John and Devon, but a small disclaimer at the bottom of the page—grey font on black background, for maximum camouflage—states the pictures are stock photos.

Although the majority of sales seem to be via the company website, Phytodren is also available on Amazon.com. This has allowed some independent reviews, the majority of which are negative. One reviewer states ” No weight loss, no loss of appetite no extra energy. I really wanted this product to work, but it doesn’t.” Another is equally damning “I have not shown any results. I feel like I paid money for nothing. Very disappointed!”.

Potential Side Effects

The manufacturers state there are no reported side effects, but several of the ingredients—if the list is accurate—have known side effects. Phenylethylamine can cause headaches and dizziness; dicaffeine malate can increase the heart rate, elevate the blood pressure, and is also known to interact badly with some medications. The caffeine content of the green coffee bean extract may also prove to be problematic and the lack of inclusion rates is a further cause for concern.

Is It Recommended

Phytodren is not a recommended product. The websites contains many promises, but no evidence to back them up, and the shady sales tactics used to market the product casts serious doubts on the manufacturer’s integrity. The list of ingredients may or may not be accurate, but the lack of inclusion rates makes it impossible to predict possible benefits.

The lack of inclusion rates, coupled with the dubious ingredients claims, also renders it impossible to predict the negative impact the product could have on the body, or any dangers posed, so it is strongly recommended this product be avoided at all costs. There are many better alternatives available.

Where To Buy Phytrodren

It is available exclusively from its own website it would seem. It is ships to all countries including the UK, US, Canada and Australia. It is priced at $69.95 for a months supply.

Recommended Alternative

Raspberry Ketone PlusIf there was one ingredient to take from Phytodren it would be raspberry ketone. Raspberry ketone has been the real success story in almost every country.

It is a natural fat burner that can also inhibit the production of new fat cells. If there is one product to give serious consideration to it would be Raspberry Plus – just look at the amount of customer comments on the official website.
