Fat Metaboliser Review – from Nutritional Headquaters

Last updated on February 6th, 2021

There are several diet pills that are called Fat Metaboliser – this review is for the product found in Holland & Barrett

There is nothing ultimately wrong with it – it is just that it has been around for so long it’s like ordering prawn cocktail for a starter.

Nowadays the best selling and popular diet products multi task – they burn fat, block fat and suppress appetite. Poor old Fat Metaboliser is stuck in the past with it’s one trick pony strategy.

Fat metaboliser tablets

Fat Metaboliser diet pills are marketed extensively via the Holland & Barrett website and stores.

The product can also be bought from a variety of other UK retailers, so it is pretty easy to get hold of and has the advantage of being one of the most reasonably priced weight loss products on the market.

The product comes in capsule form and is designed to be used in conjunction with a 14-day diet plan.

Regular exercise is also encouraged and the manufacturers claim a “new you” is possible for users who use their product in the recommended way.

Fat Metaboliser is produced by Nutritional Headquarters, if an official website exists it is very hard to find, but the fact that Holland & Barrett are prepared to give the product shelf space suggests that Nutritional Headquarters is a reputable company.

This does not prove their ability to produce an effective product though, and a money back guarantee is not offered.

Claims: To move fat (or mobilze) fat away from problem areas

Positives: A few good ingredients. Not too expensive

Negatives: Not the strongest formula compared to some of the current best of breed. We prefer PhenQ

What is Fat Metaboliser and How Does it Work?

Fat Metaboliser at Holland and Barrett

The name says it all. Fat metabolizing products are designed to assist the body’s ability to burn off calories and excess fat, so there is little doubt about how this product is intended to work.

The recommended dose is two capsules a day—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—and a quick look at the label reveals a few promising ingredients.

Sadly, the inclusion levels are far too low to offer any real weight loss benefits, but the diet plan is not without merit because it allows just 1,500 calories a day.

Key Ingredients

There is nothing groundbreaking about this mix, especially in such low quantities, but a weak potency such as this is also less likely to produce side effects, so it isn’t all bad.

  • Vitamin B6:  Performs many functions in the body, including regulating the release of glucose, but most people who enjoy a balanced diet will probably get sufficient quantities from their food.
  • Green Tea:  Always a popular ingredient in weight loss products, but any studies that appear to support its effectiveness have been conducted on quantities of 400 mg or more. This product provides just 250 mg.
  • Chromium:  Received a lot of attention in the 1950s due to some positive results in tests conducted on animals, but a more recent study (2007) found no evidence of fat loss.
  • Cayenne:  Extracted from red chili peppers, cayenne has proven metabolism boosting abilities, but with an inclusion rate of just 5 mg this blend fails to harness cayenne’s true potential.
  • L-Carnitine:  A powerful antioxidant that is a common ingredient in body building supplements because of its ability to boost testosterone levels, but there is no evidence to suggest it can assist weight loss.
  • Uva Ursi:  Often used as a natural treatment for urinary infections. Also known to be an anti-inflammatory, but its ability to aid weight loss requires further study.
  • Kola Nut:  Sourced from the kola tree and responsible for providing cola with its unique taste. Also a good source of caffeine.

Customer Feedback

Independent reviews are hard to find, but the Holland & Barrett website contains many customer reviews and shows a mixed response to the product.

Some consumers say the capsules work well, others state they are ineffective.

Only one consumer reports side effects, but it seems likely his problem with hair loss will be attributable to another source.

[warning]Many consumers mention they did not receive the diet plan, and this shows a failure of communication on the part of the manufacturer and/or vendor because the plan has to be downloaded from the internet.[/warning]

Side Effects

Bearing in mind the low inclusion rates, side effects are unlikely, but the manufacturers suggest diabetics and people who suffer from hypoglycemia seek medical advice before using the product. This is also probably good advice for pregnant and nursing mothers and those people who have existing health issues.

The Bottom Line – Is It Recommended

Fat Metaboliser is a cheap and cheerful product that can be purchased for less than the price of an Indian meal. A guarantee would have been nice, but the lack of one probably won’t be an issue for most potential users due to the low price of the product. Competitive pricing does not, however, always mean value for money.

At first glance the product appears to contain an effective mix of ingredients, but the low inclusion rates severely hamper any benefits the respective ingredients might offer, so it is probable that any weight loss achieved will be due to abiding by the recommended diet plan.

The low inclusion rates also reduce the likelihood of experiencing side effects—which is a plus—but with so many alternative products to choose from, many of which offer proven benefits, the consumer is advised to look elsewhere. Real value for money comes from results, not a bargain basement price tag.

Where To Buy Fat Metaboliser

The most obvious is Holland and Barret

Recommended Diet Pill

Buy PhenQ

PhenQ is a highly recommended natural fat burner that can also stop the creation of new fat cells and suppress appetite. PhenQ is the premier brand that is arguably the best of its kind.

Produced in registered facilities and with high quality best of breed ingredients there are not many products that can lay a better claim.

Fat Metaboliser is under £10 in some high street stores, whereas PhenQ is more expensive (check website for current pricing). The products are different ends of the scale for many reasons. If cost is your main driver then Fat Metaboliser – if your weight loss results are important then buy PhenQ.

  1. I was advised by A saleswoman at Holland & Barrettes Dublin to use The Fat metaboliser and CLA to enhance my metabolism rate as I was on a diet and regular excercise but unfortunately loose very few pounds in a year . Having used these two products not only my weight stopped to reduce but it also increased by a kilo or two .. Therefore, I stopped taking them .. I think those products are not effective for weight loss .

  2. Lies I have used the fat metaboliser and the CLA purchased fro Holland and Barrettes Dublin I put more weight since using them , therefore, I stopped them and since then I hardly loose a pound . I did not get the diet plan ..

  3. I myself have used this product and find that I also have put weight on .I myself would not recommend them to no one.

  4. My experience was very positive. But, for me I have no idea of the ‘Fat Metabolising’ properties – this I am sceptical about. However, my problem was that I even tho I was determined to lose weight, evening hoovering when I got home just prevented any progress. The first tablet I took stopped this immediately – it took the edge off my appetite when I needed it most.

So, combined with my diet plan, and using myfitnesspal.com – these tablets were a contributing factor. In total I lost 2stone, and I have now reached a weight I am happy with.

The other interesting this is that as I lost weight, my stomach and appetite have shrunk –
I actually have trouble getting enough calories (oh boo-hoo 😉 ). I don’t seem to need the tablets anymore.

Perhaps other appetite suppression tablets would have also done the trick. Who knows, who cares! – these did the trick. 🙂

    Hope this helps someone

  5. well i am trying fatmetaboliser for the first time as excise is very hard for me as i am trying to lose weight of my belly as i suffer with copd and ashma i find it very hard to work out be cause of my breathing so can any body give me some hadvise would be great full do any body can tell me do they work thank you

  6. I am currently using the fat metaboliser tablets, they are good but only if you follow the diet. For those who didn’t get the diet plan you have to go onto Holland and Barrets website where you can download and print it. I have been following the diet as well as regular exercise and I can say it does work.
