Grenade Thermo Detonator Review

Last updated on August 13th, 2015

grenade diet pill reviewAccording to the manufacturers Thermo Detonator is the best fat burning product available on the UK market. They also claim it won a diet pill of the year award in 2011 and 2012, but the company fail to elaborate on who awarded these impressive sounding titles, so it is difficult to validate the claims.

Grenade produces several other weight loss supplements, but Thermo Detonator is their flagship product. Grenade is supposedly suitable for users of either sex, but the chosen military look adopted on the official site and used for the packaging shows a definite bias towards male customers.

The product is available to buy from the manufacturer’s website, and from many independents retailers throughout the world, but the official website makes no mention of a money back guarantee and the manufacturer’s contact details are limited to an email address and a post office box.

Claims: The self proclaimed best selling fat burner in the UK. Claims to move or mobilse fat away from areas you would rather it did nit accumulate.

Positives: Ingredient list that contains green tea, cayenne and green coffee and raspberry ketone is always a step in the right direction

Negatives: Very slightly overhyped.

What Is Thermo Detonator And How Does It Work?

Thermo Detonator websiteAccording to the manufacturers, Thermo Detonator is a weight management product that can help the user to “declare war on fat”. It comes in capsule form and the recommended dose is two capsules, taken with water, half an hour before breakfast.

A further two capsules should be taken half an hour before lunch, or half an hour before any chosen sports of fitness activity if it is a training day.

The manufacturers suggest only taking half doses for the first few days though, to assess any issues that may arise from intolerance to any of the ingredients

Promised benefits include:

  • Increased energy
  • Boosted metabolism
  • More efficient fat burning
  • Enhanced mental focus

Grenade also advise potential users to cut down on starchy carbohydrates and sugars, and keep cutting down until they start losing weight. It is, of course, arguable that such modifications to the diet can result in weight loss without the need for supplements.

Key Ingredients

The list of ingredients is not specific. Consumers who live in the UK, EU (and South Africa) receive one blend, those in the US get a different one, and customers who live elsewhere in the world are provided with an email address so that they can contact the manufacturer. This is all rather bizarre, because the exact number of blends is a mystery.

The UK, EU & South African Blend contains (per 2 capsules):

Green Tea500 mg
Bitter Orange420 mg
Caffeine225 mg
Cayenne200 mg
Phenylalanine25 mg
Green Coffee10 mg

The capsules also contain a few filler ingredients.

The USA Blend contains many more ingredients, but specific inclusion rates are not provided at the time of this review.

Bitter Orange ExtractEvodiamine
Caffeine AhydrousYohimbe Bark Extract
Magnesium StearateRaspberry Ketone
Grapefruit ExtractCocoa Bean Extract
PhenylalaninePheneythylamine HCI
Coleus ForskohlinYerba Mate Leaf
DMAEGelatin
Chlorophyllin Copper Complex SodiumTitanium Dioxide

The difference between blends is apparent.

Media Focus

It is hard to say whether there has been any real media focus on this product, but it is fair to say Grenade does all it can to court such attention and their “Team Grenade” personnel turn up wherever a mass media presence is likely. Team Grenade’s present lineup consists of ten athletes, each of which has achieved a certain amount of success in their chosen sports activity.

The bottom line is though it does feel as though Grenade is real product and does exude trust.

Success Stories And Testimonials

If any of the members of Team Grenade attained their success due to the use of the company’s products, the website fails to state it. The bottom of the homepage shows a few comments, scrolling across the bottom of the screen, that are supposedly from satisfied customers, but no names are stated, and no specific weight losses are mentioned.

Grenade Thermo Detonator complaints

Independent reviews are available, some of which are positive, but these cannot be relied upon because it is impossible to be sure which blend they refer to.

Side Effects and Known Issues

Grenade state their product is unsuitable for pregnant or nursing mothers. They also warn people on medication to consult their doctor before use. The same advice is offered to people who suffer from:

  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Thyroid problems

This is good advice because there are known issues with several of the ingredients.

  • DMAE is known to have major reactions with some sedatives and antidepressants.
  • Yohimbe also interacts badly with antidepressants and should be avoided by anyone with prostate problems.
  • Phenylalanine can aggravate schizophrenia and also interferes with some medications for Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Forskolin may affect the blood pressure and may also interfere with heart disease treatments.

Some of the other ingredients are similarly worrying and several consumers have already complained of nasty side effects including, the shakes, headaches, heartburn, and stomach cramps.

The Bottom Line – Is It Recommended

It is with a heavy heart that we do not give our full blessing to Grenade. Some of the ingredients are known to have merit.

There is an inconsistency between blends that could leads to some confusion. This may or may not put people off a purchase.

Where To Buy Thermo Detonator
